Addressing various learning needs or issues during debriefing. This workshop aims to introduce the DeBRIEF model to novice debriefers who will find a step-by- step approach easier to remember aspects of coverage. The workshop facilitators will lead practices and role- playing exercises using real-life scenarios or video clips. Scenarios of difficult situations, such as learners with complex  learning needs, will be constructed for practice.

Simulation is a valuable strategy for teaching, learning and evaluating clinical skills at different levels of nursing and midwifery education: undergraduate, postgraduate and lifelong education (Park et al., 2016; Martins, 2017). The development of clinical skills is a complex process because professionals need to know not only how to perform a set of technical actions, but also how to apply the best available knowledge, collect and process information, make correct decisions in various contexts, and adopt attitudes that ensure respect for the person and build a helping relationship (Meakim et al., 2013). Models and frameworks have been utilized to help conceptualize the role of Simulation as part of the pedagogical models that prioritize experiential learning.  This workshop will explain  proposed models and frameworks to apply simulation in nursing education
